Alliances and Factions

🀝 Alliances and Factions

Alliances and factions allow your promotion to expand beyond its roster and form strategic partnerships, both inside your promotion and with rival promotions.

Factions and Stables

Factions (referred to as stables or alliances within your promotion) are groups of wrestlers aligned to work together under a shared banner (e.g., D-Generation X, nWo).

πŸ› οΈ Creating and Editing Factions

  • Where to manage: Go to your Promotion Details page and navigate to the Factions tab.
  • Setup:
    • Give your faction a unique name.
    • Select a custom Theme Color (using a Hex code like #BD34FE or #1FD6F3) to highlight faction members across the roster and booking interfaces.
    • Select which wrestlers from your active roster will join the faction.

Booking Benefits

  • Factions make booking multi-man tag matches and faction-vs-faction feuds easy.
  • Members of the same faction share chemistry in storylines and matches, helping to elevate ratings when booked together or in opposition.

πŸ›οΈ Inter-Promotion Alliances

Inter-promotion alliances are strategic partnerships formed between different wrestling promotions.

πŸ“‚ The Alliances Interface

  • Where to manage: Go to the Promotions screen and click the Alliances tab.
  • If you are not currently in an alliance, you can create one by selecting a name and uploading an optional logo.
  • If you are in an alliance, this screen displays your partner promotions, the shared roster, and gives you the ability to invite new members or leave the alliance.

βœ‰οΈ Invitations and AI Decision Logic

You can invite non-member promotions to join your alliance. AI promotions will decide whether to join based on two main criteria:

  1. πŸ—ΊοΈ Regional Competition (Base): AI promotions are protective of their local market. If a promotion has the same home region as existing alliance members, it is highly likely to reject the invitation to avoid helping regional competitors. Promotions based in different regions are much more cooperative.
  2. πŸ“ˆ Level/Prestige (Size): Promotions prefer partnering with organizations of comparable size. A massive prestige disparity or active competitive level differences (within a level difference of 3) will lead to rejection.

AI promotions also simulate alliance steps weekly (on Mondays) and might invite other non-member AI promotions to join existing alliances.

The Alliance Roster

Alliance partners can share talent by placing them on the Alliance Roster:

  • Contributing talent: You can send your own wrestlers to the shared Alliance Roster from the Alliances tab. This makes them available to alliance partners.
  • Recalling talent: You can remove your wrestlers from the Alliance Roster at any time.
  • AI Contributions: AI members of the alliance will periodically contribute wrestlers from their rosters to the shared pool on a weekly basis.

Cross-Promotion Shows

Co-promote special shows with your alliance partners to put on historic crossover events.

Scheduling a Joint Show

  1. Open the details page for any upcoming weekly show or PPV event, or navigate to it via the Calendar or Event Detail screen.
  2. Click the Handshake (Show Invite) button.
  3. Select an eligible alliance partner to invite.
  4. AI Acceptance: The invited promotion will automatically accept the invitation as long as they do not have a scheduling conflict (i.e. they do not have their own show scheduled on the same date).

Booking Guest Talent

Once an alliance partner accepts your invitation, their contributed wrestlers on the shared Alliance Roster become available in your booking sheet, allowing you to create unique dream matches on your card.

Alliance Championships

Championships can be marked as Alliance Titles to elevate their status across the entire partnership:

  • Go to any championship's details screen and click Mark as Alliance Title.
  • This applies a prestigious Alliance Title badge to the belt, indicating it is shared across all member promotions.
  • Use Alliance Titles as the centerpiece of cross-promotional shows and co-funded storylines to maximize match ratings and show fallout.
