๐Ÿ› ๏ธ DataStudio โ€” Datapack Editor

Booker Blitz DataStudio logo

DataStudio is the official Booker Blitz tool for building and fixing custom datapacks outside the main game. Use it to edit rosters, promotions, titles, teams, and arenas, import TEW databases, and clear validation warnings before you start a new universe.

๐Ÿš€ Launch

DataStudio is a standalone app, released separately from the game with its own installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

To run it from the project folder:

pnpm datastudio

That opens the Electron app. For a browser-only dev session (port 5175):

pnpm exec vite --config vite.datastudio.config.ts

๐Ÿงญ What you can do

  • Home โ€” datapack stats, TEW import, quick links
  • Wrestlers โ€” in-ring talent only, with a gallery for weight class, height, and type
  • Staff โ€” everyone who isn't an in-ring wrestler, in list or gallery mode, grouped by role
  • Promotions โ€” shows, PPVs, titles (including tag/trios champions), teams, facilities, key staff
  • Arenas โ€” venue data and images
  • Themes โ€” build a custom promotion theme and export it as a .bbtheme file
  • Stats โ€” database breakdowns
  • Warnings โ€” jump to broken references with Fix

Dates (birthdays, contracts, title reigns) use the same calendar picker as the game. The DataStudio's own look (picked in the header) is remembered per datapack.

Save your work with Ctrl+S (or Cmd+S on Mac). Export a folder from the File menu when you are ready to play.

๐Ÿ‘” Staff

The Staff page lists managers, commentators, interviewers, ring announcers, referees, writers, trainers, and the rest of the backstage crew, grouped by role.

  • The gallery (press F) shows each person's role stats. Press T to change their role, S to regenerate their stats for that role, and N to rename them.
  • Ctrl+W moves the focused staff member back to the in-ring roster.
  • Managers are rated on their Charisma and Mic Skills. In a promotion's team editor you can assign a manager to a team's members.

๐ŸŸ๏ธ Promotions and Key Staff

  • Key Staff only offers people with the matching role for each slot (commentators, interviewers, ring announcers).
  • Weekly shows and Annual Events (PPVs) each have their own staff. Use Copy to all shows, Apply to all PPVs, or Copy to all PPVs to copy one show's or PPV's staff to the rest. Each asks for confirmation, because it overwrites the existing staff.
  • The team picker only lists wrestlers who aren't already on a team.
  • Tag and trios champions are picked from a scrollable team list, with a tab for non-team roster members.

๐ŸŽจ Custom Themes

The Themes section is a live editor for the same colour variables the game uses. Adjust primary, secondary, accent, hue rotation, and the semantic colours (success, warning, money, and the five-step stat scale), then pick light or dark as the mode the game should use. The preview panel shows a mock DataStudio screen so you can see the palette in context.

You can also replace the six game backgrounds with your own images:

SlotWhere it appears
Main Menu / Game ShellTitle screen, game shell, load screen, editor
New GameNew game setup
Live EventLive event runner
Extra Background 1 / 2Reserved
Contract NegotiationContract talks backdrop

Each slot shows the bundled art labelled Default until you choose your own, at which point it is labelled Custom. The Reset button clears the colours and backgrounds.

Give the theme a name and hit Export .bbtheme. The file bundles the colours and every replaced background, so it travels as one file.

To use it, open the game and go to Settings โ†’ Theme, then hit Import Theme under the theme picker and choose your .bbtheme file. The theme is applied as your Custom promotion theme, and the replaced backgrounds show up across the game. Reinstate Pictures next to it puts the bundled backgrounds back.
